Parasport

The film looks at the evolution of disability sport in Britain and the changing public perceptions of disability. Following three disabled athletes in their daily and athletic routines from an English female deaf captain of England Rugby team, to the Asian wheelchair tennis champion to a Leicester-based pool wheelchair champion, the film presents a diverse variety of disable athletes who challenged perceptions about what disable people can do in the arena of sport and how their determination changed perceptions of disability in the UK. The film features Lord Holmes of Richmond, and Justin Tomlinson, the former disabilities minister.
